Reflections on a Semester

I was asked about how my semester was for Photography this semester. I can say that it was a different experience. I learned many new things, such as how a camera works and how that the lighting, aperture, and focus of a picture can really make the difference. I also learned that any camera can make a beautiful picture, it just depends on how much effort you're willing to put into it.

As I went through the year, I learned somethings about myself. For instance, I learned that I'm fairly good at knowing what I want to be in my shot, as well as what I don't. I also found something that really has made my life and world really enjoyable thanks to what my teacher told me: Everything has beauty. I'll walk home from my long days of work, and i'll notice something that I'd always pass by, but  never had the time to look at it. Its made some of my worst days somewhat enjoyable. I guess that it's the little things that never cease to amaze us.

As for what we did in class, I don't have much to say. I did, however, want to go more into film than what we did. I also wish that we could've done color film.

My one thing, however, was that I did struggle. I'm having to struggle right now to write this essay because of the sloppy keyboard that I'm using, but I did have some personal struggles. For one thing, I have issues in putting time aside in order to work. Also, I have trouble in keeping on track.

As for what I did, I'm happy with most of it. I believe that I did a good job in making a believable panorama. Also, I was one of the only people that went out of their comfort zone to take pictures of random strangers. All-in-all, I did enjoy my time in this class.
